MEET THE FAMILY BEHIND JAX GOLF CARTS
Jax Golf Carts is owned by brothers Adam and Stephen Freihofer. While the business has served the Jacksonville area for years, our family’s chapter began in 2023 when we purchased Jax Golf Carts and set out to build on its history as a trusted local golf cart dealership.
Adam’s connection to Jacksonville began through his military service. He joined the U.S. Navy in 2002 and was stationed at Naval Station Mayport, where Jacksonville became more than a duty station — it became home. Today, Adam continues to serve our country as a reservist in the U.S. Army.
Stephen spent his career in mechanical and sales roles before he and Adam purchased Jax Golf Carts. Stephen, his wife and their family moved from South Carolina to Jacksonville to operate the business full time. Today, Stephen runs the day-to-day operations and is often the person customers meet when they visit the dealership.

Adam’s connection to Jacksonville began when his Navy career brought him to Naval Station Mayport. After joining the U.S. Navy in 2002, Jacksonville became home for Adam and his family. Today, he continues his military service as a reservist in the U.S. Army while co-owning Jax Golf Carts with his brother Stephen.

Stephen brings a lifelong background in mechanical work and sales to Jax Golf Carts. After purchasing the business with Adam in 2023, Stephen and his family relocated from South Carolina to Jacksonville. He now runs the dealership’s day-to-day operations, working directly with customers, overseeing the team and staying involved in everything from sales to service.
